Letter to parents of school children - 12th September 2017

"We are really excited about the future of our Community Hub. Playgroup has now moved to the old Children’s Centre building and have settled very well. Over the summer we have had a number of changes made to the room where Playgroup used to be and we will refer to this room as 'The Hub'. This will now be used for community groups and is available to hire.

Tracie Clements (Playgroup leader) is coordinating all of the groups that happen in The Hub. Please feel free to come along to the family times or baby time. These are a drop in sessions and are open to everyone. It would be lovely to see our families using this wonderful resource—there are lots of new babies on our playground and you would all be very welcome.

If you have any ideas for other groups which could run in The Hub please feel free to drop in and see Tracie or Mrs Dawson—we are open to suggestions!"

Our Children's Centre provides groups, activities and support for babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and their families.

We welcome all children and families - from our school community, the surrounding area and beyond.

9.30 - 11 am      Family Time - drop in

9.30 - 11 am      Early Start Family Time - invite only but please contact Tracie if you want to find out more

1.15 - 3 pm        First Tuesday of every month - Speech and Language drop-in

Wednesday

9 - 11.30 am      Child Minding Network - open to all child minders

Thursday

1 - 2.30 pm       Parent Volunteer Baby Time/Baby Weigh In - drop in

 PLEASE NOTE ALL OUR GROUPS RUN IN TERM-TIME ONLY 

Family Time

This friendly group is suitable from birth - pre-school. It's a relaxed group (late comers welcome!) and sessions cost £2.50 for up to 2 children with 50p for each additional child. This includes a healthy snack and drink.

Every week there is a planned activity for adults and children to join in with as well as a varied range of free play, art/craft and outside activities as well as books to share. Aprons and coveralls are available but please do ensure your child is dressed for messy play!

Baby Time/Weigh In

Time to chat to other parents and carers in a safe space where you baby can play as well as an opportunity to get your baby weighed and seek advice from a Health Visitor about any questions or concerns you may have.

Early Start Family Time

A nurturing group for children and families. Please see Tracie if you'd like more information about who is eligible.
