Care and Support Helps Everyone Succeed
If you are unsure about sending your child into school due to covid/illness concerns please see the helpful flow chart below. If you are not sure what to do please contact the school and speak to Mrs Dawson.
During the COVID19 pandemic, we had to stay apart to keep safe.
But, after the storm comes a rainbow...we couldn't wait to be together again.
This video is a celebration of the children and adults of Cashes Green Primary School during Lockdown 2020; it was made by each of us in our separate homes and put together as a keepsake of our time apart to stay safe.
To find out more about how the teachers, alongside the whole school community, worked together even though they were apart to raise £1406 for NHS Charities Together click here.
We are well in the swing of our new routines - thank you for arriving at your allocated time each day.
There is specific information for drop-off and pick-up gates and times for each class here.
You'll also find a copy of the letter for each class which was sent in July.
PE days are Monday for Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 and Wednesday for Reception, Years 5 and 6. Children should come in their PE kits on that day.
YEAR SIX - OUTDOOR EDUCATION on a TUESDAY please wear old, warm clothes to school.
If you have any questions please phone the office or email Mrs Dawson.
Cashes Green Primary School is a community school situated on the western side of Stroud, halfway up Randwick Hill. We are blessed in having wonderful views of Stroud's valleys and hills from our windows. There is also an on-site Children's Centre, ran by the school, and a committee led playgroup meaning there's provision for children and families from birth - 11 years old.
The school, which was opened in 1957, provides excellent facilities for our children. At present we have seven mixed ability classes catering for 200 children. We believe that one of our main strengths is our caring, happy atmosphere. We know our children well and are sensitive to their needs. We believe that education needs to be a partnership between the home and the school and we work very hard to develop mutual understanding and trust with our parents. We will always make time for parents who wish to discuss any particular problems, either with the class teacher or with the Head.
Our Children's Centre - in 'The Hub' - provides a selection of groups and activities for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers and their families.
We are also fortunate in having a playgroup run by parents, which operates from the adjacent building to school which was previously the Children's Centre. One of the benefits of this arrangement is the way it helps to prepare children for school.
We also have a breakfast club and an after school club to provide safe and fun wrap-around care from 8am - 5:45pm.
Cashes Green has a talented, committed teaching staff who provide a full, varied and well-structured curriculum. We aim for a stimulating environment where we present our children with a wide range of exciting and challenging experiences to enable them to develop as rounded individuals and to reach their full potential. Education is not just about intellectual development, important though that is. It is also about developing personal, spiritual, social, physical and artistic skills. Our partnerships with parents and carers are crucial to our success and our motto 'Care and Support Helps Everyone Succeed' runs through everything we do.
